I Learn Every Day, with its rhyming text and amazing illustrations, is an exciting story that follows the first day of school for a young child. Whether it's learning colours, playing in the sandbox or singing songs and playing instruments — my personal favourite — this book would resonate with any child who has experienced or is about to experience their first day of school. The combination of poetry and storytelling is effortlessly achieved and all while allowing children to explore new, exciting words and vivifying illustrations.
     The final scene will leave you wanting more just like the young child in the book when he realizes the exciting day has come to an end. I can't wait to read the exciting continuation in book three, as I vicariously relive my own childhood through this exciting read. An instant favourite!

Musician, Composer, Producer, Educator and Mentor

The first two books in the With Your Help series, written by Daniela Ferrante and Dina Russo-De Cotiis and illustrated by Michael Petherick, are joyful and enthusiastic stories that help young children understand they have the ability to make their own choices both at home and at school. The stories depict the life in the day of a little boy who is filled with a joie de vivre. He is supported by his parents and his teachers who convey the message that he is a competent, capable and able individual. The stories promote the viewpoint that interdependence is a healthy life choice. The illustrations provide a sense of fun, joy, and energy and they clearly include a diverse population. I am sure parents and educators alike will enjoy sharing these stories with their young children and their pupils. I will look forward to the next books in the series.

With Your Help, A Series for Young Children, illustrates the daily experiences of a child in a nurturing home and child-care environment. The books depict a sequence of events that encourages a sense of order and focus, while demonstrating the true capability of children. With Your Help series for young children is one of the most self-encouraging collections available. Each book was thoughtfully written to demonstrate both a child’s potential and how adults can inspire and support independence from an early age. The child’s voice echoes in each story, “I can do it myself.”
